December 23, 2013

Hola Everyone Well this week was pretty normal. We found 4 really good investigators this week (they are 2 couples). The thing that kinda sucks is that they are both going to be gone until January, so another 10-14 days before we can meet with them again. We also found 2 inactive people who are really receptive. They are both the only members in their respective families so hopefully we can start teaching them. We have appointments with them this week so we are excited about that. We had a ward Christmas activity on Saturday and we had to do something. We didn't plan it at all, so we were scrambling to put things together. It turned out really good and a lot of people laughed so we were okay with it. Well I would like to take some time to talk about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is the time of the year that we celebrate His birth. For me personally, I have learned so much about Him in the last year and I have come to love and appreciate Him more than ever before. He is our elder brother, and our perfect example. "He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death (Mosiah 16:9). Thanks to Him and his atoning sacrifice we can return to live with God again. Please remember to keep Him as the center of your celebrations this holiday season. I know that God and Jesus Christ live. I know that this is His work and He is in charge. This work is true, no doubt in my mind. I love and miss you all! Have a wonderful Christmas! With love, Elder Jayson Welker
