Hola Everyone

This week went by super quick. We didn't have many lessons or anything like that but it somehow went by really fast. Maybe its the time in the mission curse that makes it pass by so quickly. The theory is that as a missionary gets more time in the mission, the faster the rest of his/her mission goes by. I never really understood it but I think that I'm starting to just a little bit. Our Zone Conference with President Warne was awesome! He and Sister Warne went to Israel like 3 years ago and he showed us some pictures and talked about the significance of many places there. And then we focused on Christ. It was interesting what he said. He said that we need to spend more time teaching people about Him so that they can KNOW Him, not just know ABOUT Him. Elder Ramirez and I, we put it into practice that same afternoon with Roberto and Francisco. It was an awesome lesson! The sad thing was that they didn't come to church yesterday...I was super bummed out. But we had a different investigator, Pablo, that came to church. He really enjoyed it. He and his son have a baptismal date for the 17th. They have a long ways to go but with the Lord's help anything is possible. This Easter weekend was different. Normally people are at home with the family, right? WRONG!! Here they go to the beach or someplace else. There were very, very few people in our sector. We tried but it really is amazing how people can reject a message of Christ during Easter. Oh well. We just have to keep on moving forward. I know that Christ lives. I know that He suffered for us so that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven again. This is His church, no doubt in my mind. Love and miss you all! Have an awesome week!

Hola Everyone

This week went by super fast! We didn't have a whole lot going on but it just flew by. We have been making a lot of progress with Roberto and Francisco. They came to church yesterday and they really liked it. Roberto has been smoking for more than 30 years but he has quit before so he doesn't think it will be too much of a problem. We are also teaching a man named Pablo and his son Juan Pablo. They have been super receptive so far. We've only been able to meet with them twice in the past 2 weeks but we are hoping to meet with them more regularly. The Lord has been super merciful with us. Our sector sometimes looks like a deseret, but somehow, someway we are finding a few people here and there that are willing to listen. I know that the Lord blesses us even when we don't feel like we are worthy of the blessings that we receive. But we just have to have a heart full of gratitude and have the determination to press forward working harder every day. I love and miss you all so much! I hope that you have a fantastic week!

Hola Everyone

This week was pretty normal. We tried to find people to teach and it didn't work out a ton. We tried to talk to everyone that we saw (obviously it's impossible but we tried) and we only found a few future investigators. We did make some progress with the husband and son of one of our less-actives. The husband doesn't believe in religion a whole lot but after we taught him he shared some of his thoughts. He told us that the only reason he listened to us was for his wife. And that he hasn't found any church that "satisfies" him. But he told us that he really enjoyed our message and would pray about it. We are going to work super hard to help all of them go to General Conference this week. Things are going pretty good so far with my companion. It's the first time I've been with anyone longer than 2 changes but no problems as of yet; hopefully none come (fingers crossed). I'm super excited for General Conference so be expecting my letter next week to have that focus. Love and miss you all! Have a good week!
